CTTSO Challenge: Designing a Performance Support App for User-Generated Content
Share this Challenge:
Mobile devices are a powerful and personal tool. They are not only communication devices, but also high resolution cameras, video and audio recorders, GPSs, information repositories, and sensors. Operational users lack a performance support tool that allows them to quickly, easily, and effectively capture and organize information from existing training, documents and reference guides; supplement it with information gathered in the field; and share it with others. The Seeker desires a mobile app that facilitates the collection and creation of content that can be easily organized, accessed, and shared in innovative ways on a smart phone and/or a tablet to improve mission critical performance.
This Challenge requires only a written proposal.

Next Generation Queue Design and Model
Share this Challenge:
TSA Pre✓™ is an expedited screening program that allows low-risk travelers to experience expedited, more efficient security screening. This queue line provides a quicker transit through the airport security screening as TSA Pre✓™ passengers do not require the removal of shoes, 3-1-1 compliant liquids, jacket, belt, and may keep their laptop in bag for screening.
Current queue layouts at TSA Pre✓™ airports will need to adapt to support the increasing population of TSA Pre✓™ passengers. TSA is looking for the Next Generation Checkpoint Queue Design Model to apply a scientific and simulation modeling approach to meet queue design and configuration needs of the dynamic security screening environment with TSA Pre✓™.
This is an Ideation Challenge with a guaranteed award for at least one submitted solution.

Thomson Reuters Eikon Text Tagging Challenge
Share this Challenge:
Investors are flooded every day by thousands of news items from many different sources – blogs, feeds, internal reports, news services – yet only a small number of those items may be of interest to a particular investor. Filtering these news items for companies or organizations of interest is becoming increasingly important as the number and variety of sources expands, yet it is becoming more difficult because many of these news items are not explicitly tagged with the relevant companies or organizations. The Seeker, Thomson Reuters, is searching for an algorithm to accurately tag incoming news items by relevance for companies or organizations mentioned within the news item.
This is a Reduction-to-Practice Challenge that requires written documentation and delivery of source codeimplementing an algorithm that solves the problem. Additionally, as a Prodigy Challenge a real-time online scoring utility and leaderboard will be available to track Solver algorithm performance.
This Challenge has a special award structure with awards of$20,000, $10,000, and $5,000 for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, respectively for granting the Seeker a non-exclusive license to practice the solutions. In addition, the Seeker may, at its sole discretion, award an additional $20,000 (“Additional Award”) to one or more of the submissions awarded a Licensing Award to obtain ownership of the solution. Awards will be based on Seeker’s determination of solution performance using a reserved independent validation set.
